Direct-to-film printing prints your full-color design onto a special film, which is then heat-pressed onto the garment. It gives sharp detail, bright colors and a soft feel on cotton, polyester, blends and dark fabrics.
Photo-quality prints without screens
DTF is perfect when a design has many colors, gradients or fine detail, or when the garment is cotton or dark — where sublimation can’t be used. There are no screens, so small runs and many different designs are cost-effective.

Artwork prep
Design is prepared at the right size and resolution.
Film printing
CMYK and white ink are printed onto PET film.
Powder coating
Adhesive powder is applied and cured.
Heat pressing
The transfer is pressed onto the garment.
Peeling
The film is peeled to reveal a sharp print.
Quality check
Adhesion and placement are checked.
